Downton Abbey is an Upcoming  British drama television series,  set in the early 20th century, created by Julian Fellowes. The series first aired on ITV in the United Kingdom on 26 September 2010. The Movie is Scheduled 20 September 2019.

Downton Abbey Storyline

Adapted from the hit TV series Downton Abbey that tells the story of the Crawley family, a wealthy owner of a large estate in the English countryside in the early 20th century.


Gareth Neame of Carnival Films conceived the idea of Edwardian-era TV drama was set in a country house. who won an Academy Award for Best Writing (Original Screenplay)for Gosford Park. Property inspired by the film set decades earlier. Few weeks he returned to Neame with an outline of the first series. Influenced by Edith Wharton’s The Custom of the Country, Fellowes writes the scripts and his wife Emma is an informal story editor.
