Grudge (2020) Movie Review, Cast and Trailer


Grudge is an upcoming American supernatural psychological horror film. The film is written and directed by Nicolas Pesce, it is co-written by Jeff Buhler. Grudge movie is produced by Sam Raimi, via its Ghost House Pictures banner, Robert Tapert, and Takashige Ichise. This movie is a reboot of The Grudge American film series that is based upon the original Japanese franchise.

The movie stars include Andrea Riseborough, John Cho, Demián Bichir, Lin Shaye, Betty Gilpin, and Jacki Weaver. A sequel of this film was announced, with a release date for 2013 or 2014 in 2011. The movie was officially announced that a reboot of the franchise was in the works in March 2014. Buhler is set to write the script of the 2014 movie.

But in July 2017, Nicolas Pesce, the filmmaker of The Eyes of My Mother was hired for rewrites, based on Buhler’s script. He was also asked to direct the film. The Principal photography of the film began on the 7th of May 2018, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It finished on the 23rd of June 2018. This film will be released by Sony Pictures Entertainment on the 3rd of January 2020.
