Facebook Dating is the social media giant’s digital dating service. There is currently no web version; it is only available via the Facebook mobile app on Android and iOS.
Users can sort results according on their location, the number of children, religion, age, or height, and can connect with other users within a 100-kilometer radius.
Additionally, there is an option to check for users who are in or out of range at the present, as well as a Lucky Match filter that broadens the search by expanding the user’s normal restrictions. Users who have matched can initiate a voice chat.
When was the Facebook Dating Service Launched?
Facebook announced the functionality during their F8 developer conference in May 2018. The service was not fully unveiled during the conference, but visitors were assured that additional information will be forthcoming shortly.
The feature was under internal beta testing within a few months of the conference. Facebook Dating launched in Colombia on September 20, 2018.
Due to the fact that the dating service was still in its early phases of development, users helped influence how it will appear to future users. If the testing goes well, Facebook claimed the feature will be included into the existing Facebook app.

The second expansion began in October 2018 in Canada and Thailand. Where to Find Facebook Dating – How To Use Facebook Dating
Facebook Dating is accessible via the Facebook app, which you almost certainly already have installed on your phone. (Dating is not available on the company’s website; it is only available on the company’s iOS or Android applications.)
Navigate to the Menu option in the Facebook app’s bottom right corner. If you haven’t already, Facebook will prompt you in the top right corner of the screen to create a Dating profile. There is little you can do on this front because Facebook already has photographs and some information about you, but you can modify the information to your liking.
Additional questions are asked on your profile, such as your interests (sports, hobbies), whether you have children, and your height.
Following that, configure your match selections. You can filter these individuals by their age, gender identity, height (if that is a concern), languages spoken, and proximity to you. Additionally, you can identify an individual’s educational level, whether they have children, and religious convictions.
As with other dating applications such as Bumble, Facebook inquires about your preferences in a companion. Unlike Bumble, you have a variety of alternatives, including “chatting” and “friendship.”
Once you’ve completed your profile, you’re ready to begin matching. Facebook modeled its swipe feature after Tinder’s: swipe left to despise, swipe right to like. Scroll down to see more of someone’s profile.
By viewing someone’s profile, you can determine if you have mutual friends. Additionally, Facebook Dating has some additional capabilities, such as matching with people who attended the same events as you or giving someone a second opportunity who you previously passed up. To locate them, scroll down the app’s initial Dating page:
