Kanye West Says Its A Choice. Really?

400 years of slavery black people were subjected to was a choice and Black people let it happen. Now tell me something I have not already heard Kanye West say. Because I just heard it all. Kanye West went on TMZ TV to say 400 years of slavery black people were subjected to was a choice and Black people let it happen. Am sure that must have angered Black people.

During a Live chat with TMZ, West voiced a bizarre opinion that the 400 years of slavery suffered by black people was a ‘choice’. However, I wasn’t the only one shocked after that statement from our dear, Kanye West. Although not everybody was silent listening to that. After the very controversial statement, an already offended TMZ reporter Van Lathan stood up to the 40-year-old on camera and called him out on his terrible choice of words. Thereby causing an intense argument.

A Choice? I Don’t Think So Says Van Lathan

Furthermore, West was the first to throw a punch. He asked: ‘Do you feel like I’m thinking free?’  Van answered, “I actually don’t think that you’re thinking anything. I think what you’re doing right now is actually the absence of thought. You’re entitled to your opinion. But there is fact and real word consequence behind everything you just said,’ Van continued.

Van Lathan not minding the already dumbfounded Kanye West added: “And while you’re living the life you earned by being a genius, the rest of us in society have to deal with these threats to our lives. We have to deal with the marginalization that’s come from the 400 years of slavery that you said for our people was a choice. Frankly, I’m disappointed, I’m appalled, and brother. I am unbelievably hurt.’

Kanye West went on to add after apologizing to Van Lathan: ‘You’ve got to be responsible your voice is too big.”

However, Van was applauded by social media users for firing back at Kanye West. As you would expect, he’s trending online at the moment, all for good reasons.
