Leo Howard is an only child, born on the 13th of July, 1997 in Newport Beach, California, USA. He was raised in Fallbrook, California.
His parents are professional dog breeders, they specialize in breeding English and French bulldogs. His father is of Scottish-Irish and English descent, while his mother is Ashkenazi Jewish. Leo attended Tri-City Christain Schools in Vista, California.

Leo Howard had an interest in martial arts at the age of four, so his parents enrolled him at a dojo in Oceanside California.
A year later, he was enrolled at another dojo which specialized in the Okinawan discipline of Shorin-Ryu. At the age of seven, he started developing his martial arts by adding gymnastics to his routine.
Leo started training under martial arts world champion ‘Matt Mullins, Mullins made an exception allowing Leo to become the youngest student in his class.
At the age of eight, Leo had won three world championships, his specialty is Shorin-Ryu. When he was nine years, he became the youngest member to perform with Mullins’ Sideswipe Performance Team (a traveling martial arts-based group that entertains audiences across the country).

In 2009, he landed his first steady job interviewing celebrities as ‘Leo Little’, the host of the short-form Disney Channel series, Leo Little’s Big Show.
He made his feature film debut as “Eric Brooks” in the family film Aussie and Ted. In August 2009, he gained notoriety for his martial art skills when he stared as Yong Snakes-Eyes for the paramount action-adventure film G.I
Joe: The Rise of Cobra, where he performed all his own stunts in a flashback scene. Later that year, he won the Yong Artist Award as “Best young Ensemble cast”, when he appeared in a co-starring role as Laser in the family comedy film “Shorts”.
In August 2010, Leo starred as Young Conan in Conan the Barbarian, and once again performed all his own stunts.
