R kelly Pleads with the judge to permit him to travel to Dubai to go work, says he needs money to help pay his mounting legal fees and child support bills. Greenberg is expected to argue that the R kelly’s job requires him to travel and that a recently denied performance permit in the U.S. proves he needs to be able to travel outside of the U.S. to earn a living.

R Kelly pleaded to travel through private jet because he “needs to pay his day to day living expenses,” as well as the excessive costs of child support and other child-related expenses, and a money judgment against him for back rent on his Chicago studio, according to ABC13. R. Kelly is facing 10 counts of aggravated sex abuse of three minors.


He was recently been accused of aggravated criminal sexual abuse on February 22, 2019. He sat down with CBS by interviewer Gayle King on Wednesday 6th, 2019 for his first interview since his sexual assault charges. The interview was televised on CBS. R Kelly said that the allegations are not true. He Looked straight to the camera saying it would be stupid of him to hold girls against their will. He said, ” forget What you think about me, forget the rumors, love me if you want to, hate me if you want but just use your wisdom,”. And then Kelly begins to cry saying “I didn’t do this stuff. He begged not guilty and has now insisted his innocence on a live TV interview. R Kelly is due for the court appearance by 8 March, if convicted, he could be sentenced for 70 years.

Legal Troubles

Kelly and Jay-Z released an album The Best of Both Worlds in 2002. however, the record was copied by Kelly’s alleged involvement in a sex scandal. A movie reputedly showing R Kelly having sex with an underage girl. The movie was reported to the police by a journalist.

Kelly was accused with 21 counts of criminal acts related to child pornography in Illinois in June 2002. In the following year in Florida, he was faced similar charges but were later dropped.


In May 2008 R Kelly finally brought to court. By that time, several of the charges against him had been dropped. after that, the young woman who allegedly appeared in the video refused to testify, and several of her family members stated that it was not her in the video. After several weeks of testimony, the jury concluded that Kelly was not guilty of all 14 counts against him.
