The decade-plus long star wars to hit the screen again in 2019 with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The movie is a continuation of the previous stars wars.
The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker features the surviving resistance having another round with the first order.
The Director, J.J Abrams works with a team of writers that also includes Chris Terrio. While notable stars of the movie include Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Domhnall Gleeson.
Although, not much was given away in the available trailers. A few familiar faces might be seen returning to the far far away galaxy. Faces like Lando Calrissian and Emperor Palpatine.
The Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker Production
Originally, Colin Trevorrow was tapped to helm the movie, but he parted ways with Lucasfilm in September 2017 over creative differences. However, this was unlike what happened in the befell Solo, where Ron Howard took over the project after original directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller were in production for six months, Abrams began work on the project during preproduction.
