Tenet Is an upcoming American spy film directed and written by Christopher Nolan and is a co-production between the United Kingdom and the United States. It stars Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Dimple Kapadia, and Elizabeth Debicki.



It took Nolan more than five years to write the screenplay after deliberating about Tenet’s central ideas for over a decade. Principal photography took place in Denmark, Italy, India, Norway, Estonia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, starting in May 2019, while casting began in March 2019.

The release was originally scheduled for a July 17, 2020 release in IMAX, 35 mm, and 70 mm film. Due to the pandemic, it was delayed to July 31, and later August 12, 2020. Each postponement cost Warner Bros. between $200,000 and $400,000 in marketing fees.

Warner Bros. has debuted the official trailer for Christopher Nolan’s highly-anticipated espionage thriller, ‘Tenet’. Tenet will be the first major Hollywood tentpole to hit movie theaters, as they start to re-open.
Warner Bros. is scheduled to release Tenet in theaters August 12, although the trailer does not show the date and only says “it’s coming to theaters.” Watch the official trailer below.
