The Forever Purge is an upcoming American dystopian action science scary movie directed by Everardo Gout and also written and co-produced by James DeMonaco. The movie stars Ana de la Reguera, Josh Lucas, Tenoch Huerta, Will Patton, and Cassidy Freeman. This is an amazing movie to watch but for those who can stand horror movies, it is advisable to watch only if you can.

The Forever Purge Storyline

The Forever Purge is a movie where all the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders, decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead should never end.

A Mexican couple escaping from a drug cartel is stranded on a Texas ranch. There, they will be at the mercy of a group of outsiders who plan to unlawfully continue their own Purge and also then turn against the couple to kill them.

Production

The creator of the Purge Franchise, James DeMonaco said they might write another movie and thought he would really be a nice ending to the series. Universal Pictures, in May 2019, announced the development of the untitled movie which would be the fifth entry in the franchise. DeMonaco would write the screenplay, as well as produce the movie with Sebastien K Lemercier through their company Man in a Tree Productions.

Release Date

The movie was originally scheduled for a theatrical release in the United State by Universal Pictures on July 10, 2020. However, it was later moved due to the COVID-19 pandemic with no new release date given. It was later reported that the movie’s release date had been moved forward a week to July 2, 2021
